Examples of Importing Docs
Before we imported our cars, Serge and I felt very seriously that the one thing we would have liked to see were the different documents and forms used in the process. It is a shame that wth all the education forums,web sites, books and self help catalogs around know one has taken the time to help the individual Canadian that is going to import a vehicle by him/herself.
In order to help you with the experience I have decided to post some of forms that you will come in contact with. To a first timer, this should reduce some of your fears and anxieties as you go through a process that is not really that complex. ( a picture is worth a thousand words)
Remember, if you are delivering your documents to the U.S. Border folks always have extra copies (TWO) of the MSO and Invoices.
Also note that some of these documents are specific for NY State and Quebec and might be different in your particulat situation.

It is good to know that here in America (States united on America) that the kittke known secret here is that he who holds the MCO/MSO is the allodial owner of the automobile (not motor vehicle) ecause once the state gets it; they will tax that car forever…

As well, you have offered a valuable compilation of examples of forms and documents.
At one point in purchasing a car, the car dealer did not get me the appropriate documents for over 30 days. There was a lot of upset, when I found out all the documentation was not there. So Thanks.

Be prepared for the risk involved. I know two people that lost a lot of money because of faulty documents

Make sure you consider all the risk involved. Sometimes documents can be made up or not ever real check to make sure you see originals. Great post and keep up the good work

You can also get your car across the border using a service called Uship. You submit your vehicle info to them and different carriers bid on it. However if you decide to go this route you still have to present your vehicle information to customs 72 hours before it is shipped.

Fantastic humans speeches and toasts, possibly toasts. are hands down transferred at some time by way of party and expected to turn into quite funny, amusing not to mention educational inside the mean time. best man wedding speeches
