Dear members and supporters,

This is good!

Please keep up the heat.

Dear CWB member & supporter: Do you have 30 minutes?

Tag: Consumers, PoliticiansRobert Lamb @ 8:29 pm

Yes, CarsWithoutBorders is asking each one of our over 4,000 supporters to take 30 minutes and help us help all Canadians.

BackGround.

As we approach the upcoming Federal election, we have been attempting to tie down the leaders of all the political parties.  We would like them to take a stand on our important issues.  “Fair Pricing Of Automobiles for Canadians”!   We would like them to take a stand and commit to making the changes to remove the non-tariff trade barriers that prevent Canadians from freely purchasing an automobile in the United States.

State of the Auto Industry Key Issue: Conservatives

Tag: Lawrence Cannon, PoliticiansRobert Lamb @ 9:06 pm

jimmy-p.jpgJim Prentice Conservative Industry Minister was out helping Lois Brown campaign in the NewMarket-Aurora riding.

Check-out his 4 point plan, that has only 3 points.  He also states  –

“For example, a U.S.-manufactured bumper has to be approved for 10 kilometres per hour, but, in Canada, the number is only half that, meaning to ship to the U.S., bumpers have to be changed, slowing production, he explained.”

Duh!!!! Jim the bumper regulations have been approved!!!

Not only that Jim, it used to be around 8 KPH in Canada and around 4 KPH in the U.S. !

This is the minister of Industry for Canada!  God help us!  We wonder …. nuc–cleuuurrr…

Smart Canadians go south for Winter Tires!

Tag: Consumers, Our Team, PoliticiansRobert Lamb @ 2:24 pm

So the Price Gouging of Canadians Continues!  We used to say that smart Canadians go south for the winter, but these days smart Canadians  are turning south to find bargains on Winter Tires.

With the recent introduction of the “Quebec Snow tire law”, it appears the Tire Companies are all set to price gouge to their hearts content.   We conservatively estimate that over 600,000 cars will require 2.4 Million winter tires.  Please refer to Study.

This represents a price gouge just to Quebeckers in the range of 130 to 175 Million dollars!
