Motoring TV - tells Canadians to shop in Canada!!

Tag: Auto Manufacturers, CWB Audio/Radio/Video/TV, Consumers, Mediasergelbergeron @ 4:34 pm

In spite of excessive Higher prices, Motoring TV tells Canadians to spend their  $$$ in Canada and support their local dealers.   They fail to recognize that this is not a dealer issue.  It is the car manufacturers in the U.S., Japan and Europe that are “gouging” $6-7 Billion every year from Hard working Canadians!    Yes, we pay $6-7 billion a year more for our cars than our American Cousins.   Now how does that make you feel about pissing away your hard earned money to support your local boys!

Average Hard working Canadians should have the freedom to make that choice.  The choice between buying in the U.S. or buying locally.  Right now, given the positions taken by the Car Manufacturers, our government and the media, the Canadian consumer is being “handcuffed” and misinformed.    The pricing issue is not complex.  It is in the best interests of the Car Manufacturers to make it seem so.

Read the exchange of emails with Bob & Motoring TV.   They are  not on the same wave length as CWB  and most hard working Canadians ….   and they did not even consider our challenge to report both sides of the story!

Cannon looks foolish again !

doody.jpgMr. Cannon and Transport Canada just can’t seem to get it right.  Now they have withdrawn their approval of the Zenn car, they fear a safety concern.  The low speed car being used among regular cars is their concern!   But some of the Provinces like B.C. and Manitoba are telling them to stuff it.   Small Motorcycles that can not exceed high speeds are ok, but the Zenn is not.   Why is Transport Canada infringing on Provincial authority, just get rid of the whole department and let the Provinces do what they are responsible for. Cannon is so screwed up on this that he is now refusing to give interviews!

Note: 60,000 of these cars have been sold in the U.S. and not one has been reported in an accident as forecasted by our hard working  Transport Canada bureaucrats.

The Car is Built in Quebec.  The only car builder to set up in the province and Charest and the Liberals are out to Lunch on this one as well.

Here is another excellent report by the CBC. http://www.cbc.ca/national/blog/special_feature/green_rush/zenn_car_update_1.html

The JE show last  night (en Francais)  features one of the Carwithoutborders founders - Serge L. Bergeron.

The show focused on the problems and roadblocks put up by our Government and the Car Builders to scare Canadians away from buying in the U.S.    Interesting.

Note: M. Jutras in the newsclip brings back his car because he can not get a recall letter from Honda.  But the RIV always accepted a recall letter on Dealer letterhead.  I am not sure this has changed.

Of course the APA , (Automobile Protection Association) and the show Host both conclude that the rules are so complicated that you need a broker!
