We have just heard a rumor that our infamous Transport Canada amendment to Harmonize our Automobile Bumper Regulations with the U.S. and Europe has been held up with Bernier’s former Girl friend, Julie!!
Word has it, overworked and under whelmed Mr. Cannon requested Bernier to work it!
We guess he did.
Come on Harper please jump on it and pass the regulation, everyone agrees it is the overall good of the Canadian Consumer. Are you still interested in pleasing them!
Before the papers were discovered…..
Stop Corrupt Government and pass the Proposed Bumper Regulations.
Julie Fights Back, maybe we need her working on the Bumper File!!
Thank-you everyone that contributed to our cause

I just received the following attached to an e-mail from Natasha at the RIV.

Note: The CBC just left a few minutes ago. Please check out the National Tonight.
Please let us know how your case stands! Once you have your form 2 or plates let us know! If you are still having an issue let us know, our objective is to make sure everyone is plated. Our objective is to help ensure fair pricing for Canadians.
We still have lots of work to do. Have a great Holiday, get a good rest. Serge and I wish you and your families all a safe and happy holiday!
P.S. we are hearing of some stories that the RIV is not releasing all models - Bob and I will get at that first thing tomorrow AM - RIV - TC . Good night.
Update : 14:22 Natasha called me just a few minutes ago, she told me she was sending me my form2. She also mentioned that the RIV was starting to clear everyone and that is should be done over the next day or so. Stay tuned!
14:00 Jeff called, He talked with Andrew W. at T.C., he says the RIV was given the green light last night to go ahead and release the cars. He indicated that those without an immobilizer would still require the Manufacterer’s approval of an after market solution, or maybe they would provide one. - we will need to follow-up-

- We are looking at it now. I have made calls to Dan Davis and Kash and Pierre Tremblay for clarification. We are not sure what it means for those that purchased vehicles without the anti-theft device. Check-out the wording on the 8th Paragraph concerning Provincial jurisdictions??
- I called the RIV, she told me everything is on hold, all supervisors were in a meeting. She told me to call back later today. I expect, if they were doing their homework, we might all have a chance to obtain our plates before Christmas, but then again who knows? Let us see if they can restore some faith in their organization.
- Great work everyone. Thank-you so much. This is a real team victory! We will try and keep everyone informed, and please let us know when you receive your form 2.
- Hopefully this is the end of the beginning!
The Immobilizer team has just managed to update the report with illustrations and we have sent it off to Transport Canada requesting that they update our submission to the Public Inquiry on the amendments.

- The Canadian Government just released its 2008 list of eco friendly vehicles, ( I hope they checked to see if they all met Canadian Safety standards!) Rebates of up to $2000. Are my tax dollars subsidizing this? Why not just let them buy the car in the U.S.? Canadians would save more? I wonder if the rebate also applies as well to U.S. Market cars that Canadians want to buy….. it should!
