Tip of the Day!

  • If you can help it, never apply for a temporary plate in Quebec for your new US purchased car.  Some folks do when their original dealer tag expires.  This helps them get to Canadian Tire.
  • But it might be cheaper to hire a flatbed truck!
  • If you have purchased a Quebec temp. when you pay your PST( Quebec Provincial tax) they calculate the value of your car based on the Blue Book, rather than on the price you paid!
  • Check it out in your Province!

This William Watson article sheds some light on the level of respect Canadians have for politicians, businessmen and cops.  He put  his finger right on the problem, check out the last paragrah!  Maybe someone should try and sign him up to our team.  He might be interested in one or two of your stories…

Boy this mornings news is quite something … the Globe and Mail headline states “No One is above the Law”.. “convicted frauster Conrad Black sentenced to 6 1/2 years for plot to skim from shareholders”   Could this ever happen in Canada you say!  When was the last time our system made white collar crime pay!
