Deals still to be had in the U.S.!

It’s unfortunate that the Canadian dollar has fallen however it’s clear the US economy is in trouble and there are still deals to be had.
I visited two Audi dealers recently in the GTA and it’s clear they are not moving many vehicles - one even had a brand new Audi TT on the showroom discounted $12,000. It’s still in Canadian consumers interest to purchase in the US - significant savings to be had no matter how much incentive is being offered here. Factoring in the exhange rate, all fees/taxes and my time the savings are still significant!
I’ve done my research for the specific model I’m looking for and clearly the sales person was misinformed ….regarding warranty, bumper regulations…etc ..in all fairness they are offering saving incentives never seen before but still there are significant savings purchasing from the US. The deals will get better with time as the economy gets worse….
The Canadian dealers have been complacent in this controlled market - strong economy and limited competition…..unlike the US where the economy is poor and there is intense competition…
Where the Canadian Audi dealers are luke warm and dismissive ….the US Audi dealers are so proactive and accomadating to make a deal ….that puts a smile on my face…
And I look forward to meeting with the sales persons again once I have my car here and spell out the savings in purchasing from the US….

Costco Canada is currently selling Volvo with additional discount above the incentives that Volvo dealers offer. I wonder if the same apply to buying in US for Canadian Costco members. If this is possible, It would be great for Canadians who are looking @ getting their Volvo in US.
If I’m not mistaken, the Costco discount is $1500 plus $1200 free upgrade.

We seem to see alot of domestic pricing bashing here yet we see savings on swedish and german cars. Have we seen any massive domestic savings examples recently based on what you ACTUALLY could get the vehicle for in canada (versus using cdn MSRP to artificially inflate savings)?
