Who will be Harper’s new Monkies???!!
So Mr. Harper finally got down to brass tacks and handed out the top jobs to his troops.
Of concern to us is that Mr. Baird is now Transport, Infastructure, and Communities Minister.
Besides being the former federal Environment Minister, Mr. Baird is a former Ontario provincial cabiner minister and played an important role in helping unite the Canadian Alliance and Progressive Conservative parties into
the new Conservative party.
Assisting Mr. Baird with the Transport porfolio is newly
appointed Minister of State for Transport, Rob Merrifield.
Replacing Mr. Prentice at Industry is former Minister of
Health Tony Clement, who like Mr. Baird is another former
Ontario provincial cabinet minister.
We think Mr. Prentice’s departure is a good thing, he had trouble keeping up with the news.
We are hoping that Mr. Baird, Mr. Merrifield and Mr. Clement will be more receptive to our cause and issues.
What do our members think!

HOLD YOUR HORSES ON MR. BAIRD. I live in waterloo and thats where Baird is from. Problem is as we I type this they are recounting the ballots of his election. He beat Andrew Telegdi by 48 votes. So if the recount shows Telegdi won then Baird wont be MP.

With Baird and Clements which could not win a federal election twice in Brampton after he was defeated in a provincial election same as Baird, we are all in a lot of problems. They are “BUSINESS” minded and anti middle, lower class. God help us untill they depart from Federal politics for good Roger

I just checked and the recount mentioned above looks like a Mr. Braid … and not Baird?
Mr. Baird would have won by over 5,000 votes according to the elections Canada site.
