Even shipped to my door in Calgary you save almost this much through Tirerack.

    205/55R16 Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip GW3 Blackwall In Stock 4 X $101.00 = $404.00
    UPS CANADA STANDARD $98.06
    GST: $23.41
    PST: $0.00
    Duty: $28.28
    Provincial Tire Fee: $16.00
    Brokerage Fee: $20.00
Grand Total (USD): $589.75 (all from the Tirerack site)

At a .8275 ecxhange rate is $712.69 CDN. Now there is no PST in Alberta so you have to add that to make it a fair
comparison, so roughly another $40 PST plus $55 installation, so still well over $100 saving right to your
door for those that are futher from the border.

I was actually planning to do the same, ship to Massena, NY, and pick them up, when by chance I called Wal-Mart Massena, and they had winter tires in stock!!!

Got a set 4 tires of 225/60/16 Snow Trakker (made by GoodYear) for $85US each…no shipping costs!

Bought steel wheels at Costco, in Pointe-Claire, Quebec at $40 a pop, and $8 balance/installed for each tire. (For some reason, steel wheels were hard to find in Massena, I found once place asking $90 a pop)

I’m ready to face Quebec’s cold, harsh, and very long winter :)
