Our 8th Month Anniversary!
Well today marks the 8th month anniversary of CarsWithoutBorders and Serge and I would like to take this opportunity thank all our members for your continued support. It seems like a long time, but not so. It takes longer to bring a youngster into the world. We have had the pleasure to meet, talk and work with so many facinating and passionate Canadians, Americans and Europeans. We are the lucky ones!
So where do we go from here!
Well, Serge and I are attempting to put together a communications plan that will eventually see our membership grow to over 500,000 by December 31st, 2009. Over the last couple of weeks we have have traveled throughout upper New York State and down to Toronto seeking advice from experts in several different fields. We have spoken to several of our members, to U.S Car dealers and brokers, to U.S Car Parts and Service Managers, to Canadian Dealers and Brokers, to Leasing and Financial advisers, to Insurance and Warranty executives, to personnel at the RIV, to personnel at Transport Canada, to U.S Chamber of Commerce officials, Executives of Different Automobile Associations, to Newspaper ad men/women, to National Radio Marketing Executives, to Podcast and Web experts and so on and so forth.
Over the next month or so we will be publishing parts of our plan for your always great input. We are hoping to be in execution mode by September 1st.
In the meantime, it is the weeekend, and we thought we would share a couple of items with you that were quite significant in our decision to get involved and work to help Canadians.
- an email I wrote on Nov 5,2007 to one of Mr. Cannon’s right hand men, with a copy to Mr. Cannon and to the leaders of the Liberals, NDP and Bloc. I was working to raise the “Banned Car - Immobilizer Issue” and as well provide them with an easy solution. I had worked on many different forums, chatting with Canadians. One wonderful individual A.K.A “Dryfus” posted the solution and I included it in my request. It was eventually enacted by our Government.
Finally, we have added a little tune to help rekindle the spirits of all our supporters and enjoy the week-end.

Hey Robert!
Like the old Carpenters song says, “We’ve only just begun.”
Keep swinging when you’re at the plate! Sooner or later
you’ll hit a homerun.

Hey Kristian - thanks for reading from Europe - tell your friends about us and look at the forum - we’ve just begun…an intercontinental forum topic. It looks like many European are intersted in Canadian vehicles. Best wishes. If you come to Canada give us a call.
