The APA updates its site! (finally)

Tag: Auto Manufacturers, ConsumersRobert Lamb @ 12:16 pm
  • The Automobile Protection Association of Canada has just updated its web site with some interesting information concerning 2008 Automobile Prices in Canada and the U.S.   (We always wondered what kept them so long!)

  • It would  be nice if their executive and their members took a more proactive role with Transport Canada and the Car Builders.  They seem to be repeating everything we at CarsWithoutBorders have been reporting on for quite some time now.
  • They need to focus on the injustices of the current situation and what they are going to do to apply pressure and change the rules.   Do they have a petition?  Do they advocate to their members that they join our petition?
  • What are they doing about the proposed changes to the bumper regulations?  What are they doing to advocate “harmonization” of all standards across North America.   What are they doing about the ECO-rebate issues?
  • The APA recommends that everyone purchasing in the U.S. should use a broker.  In some cases this might be a good thing to do.   But what about our hard working Canadian that wants to go to the U.S. and buy a car at considerably lower prices?
  • Is anyone other that CWB looking after him/her?
  • Somehow we might have the impression that the APA and its executive do not want “Fair Pricing” for Canadians.

The APA is another dingbat group passing on misleading information to the Canadian consumer.

Much of their advise is incorrect.

I’ll bet they don’t take on the challenge.

    Correction to previous post:

I advise not to take their advice.

I wonder why the CAA is not all over this as well. They are a membership based organization of guess who? That’s right, Canadians that are been ripped off by the auto manufactures!
