Member from Slovakia compares Canada-US-Europe prices
Our website attracts visitors from 50 countries. One member from Slovakia who may be moving to Canada was very interested in our rules but not impressed. See his e-mail attached as he gives us his insights from Europe. He has asked that I keep his name confidential.
Not surprising Cars in Canada are the most expensive

I am not surprised to read this e-mail. As a consumer in Canada, (I am from Asia), I feel the manufactures here are much more greedy, no business/trade ethic. But, what can I do? I am angry, helpless and pathetic to be a Canadian consumer. It is not only the car, too many things are much more expensive here.

My favorite comparison is the Gillette Fusion razor that sells for $9.98 in a Boston drugstore and $13.98 at my local Shoppers in Toronto. Perhaps that explains why there seems to be a new SDM opening on every third block in Toronto. And to the extent that that razor´s price was $13.98 two years ago or so, SDM is also stealing from you the appreciation in the Canadian dollar since then. Kind of a double whammy: 40% more plus the appreciation. We´re really more similar to a 19th century African colony, ready to be looted by everybody, than to an independent country. I sure wish the CEO of SDM could explain why that kind of predatory pricing is necessary and appropriate.
