• The Canadian Government just released its 2008 list of eco friendly vehicles, ( I hope they checked to see if they all met Canadian Safety standards!)  Rebates of up to $2000.  Are my tax dollars  subsidizing this?  Why not just let them buy the car in the U.S.?  Canadians would save more?  I wonder if the rebate also  applies as well to U.S. Market cars that Canadians want to buy….. it should!

We talked with Trevor Kramer, owner of a high-end pre-owned car lot that imports cars from the US. Deputy Registrar of the Registrar of Imported Vehicles, Gary Moriarty talks about the regulations. Voice actor Ian Corlett tells of his experiences and Peter Johnson of Volvo Cars Canada lets us know what that company is doing to keep Canadians shopping at home.  (note : some comments made defending the position of the poor Canadian car manufacterers ???!!! .. you will enjoy this.)

Your CWB representatives were told last week, that the only way to override this 15 +++++ day process ( read up on this at Privy Council Office  ) was to convince the members of Treasury Board that all 1,100 +++ were being more than “inconvienced” as is the position of Transport Canada and Mr. Cannon!  Remember that seems to be the party line that they are hearing!
