I got exactly the same response from Mr. Harper! :-)

Hopefully it is on his radar now.

It’ encouraging that we received replies from the Prime Minister’s office, even though it may be computer initiated.

With the amount of errors committed by this group, they may well require computer assistance in order th handle the volume
    of complaints.

This mess was obviously created by collusion among the car manufacturers, RIV, Transport Cnada and possibly other departments.

Correspondence exists, however, at present it is not available to us.

It will be interesting to discover how long it will take this government to rectify this travesty and their explanation accordingly.

In view of the amount of flip-flopping encountered during the conferences, I submit that some of the participants could easily qualify as candidates in the Presidential Primaries if they were American citizens.

I, for one, will note and examine their explanation in detail when it comes to voting time and will lobby for the party and individuals assisting us at this time in reaching an acceptable resolution.

I contacted the Prime Minister’s Constituency Office yesterday to ask how long it would take to hear the results of the proposed Transport Canada rules. I was told that nothing would be done before Christmas because they will shut down on Friday December 14th. None of my phone calls to Mr. Cannon’s office have been returned.

Just came back from attending a new car clinic at the GMC dealer here in Ocala Florida. Questioned the service manager on the key imobiliser in my new GMC truck. He told me that General Motors build there trucks to a universal standard for North America. Read that, the US trucks are the same ones built as the ones built for Canada. All electrical and mechanical are the same. I also just found out that on my model I can changa the speedo and milage from reading in miles per hour and mile to read in kilometers and kilometers by just turning a small button on the dash panel. The MPH will still be promedent on the speedo but the kilomerter per hour needle will read the spee o the metric scale and the milage will record in metric kilometers instead of miles. Was worth attending. Roger Delorme
