Please write to the Treasury Board

Your CWB representatives were told last week, that the only way to override this 15 +++++ day process ( read up on this at Privy Council Office  ) was to convince the members of Treasury Board that all 1,100 +++ were being more than “inconvienced” as is the position of Transport Canada and Mr. Cannon!  Remember that seems to be the party line that they are hearing!

Here are a few documents put together by one of our members and supporters, please take a few minutes to read through them and e-mail the members accordingly.  For your “convenience“ we have included the list of the members and any other key Politicians that should be addressed.  (Remember never copy any one in Govt. on an e-mail, their staff just trashes it, as they just consider it an “inconvenience “ )

my-email-to-the-treasury-board-members.pdf  (I included the following attachment letter-to-tb-please-do-not-ruin-our-christmas-holiday.pdf  )   refer to the e-mail addresses below.

    Dear Mr. Cannon
I have already sent you one letter concerning the importation of U.S. cars into Canada. You have not answered or acknowledged receipt of my letter.
I am forwarding you an analysis of the situation by the CBC. By allowing the US Companies to determine absolutely the cars admissible to Canada the government is deliberately hurting the Canadian consumer. We will not forget this at election time. At the present time Honda is declaring admissible only its 2008 Accord model if it was manufactured before September 1, 2007. There are no such cars available. They have all been sold. And if there were some such cars they would have been manufactured in Japan and subject to duties. It is a transparent dirty trick, a catch 22. Toyota on the other hand declares all of its 2008 models admissible. No reason Honda could not do the same thing except for greed.

Has anyone noticed the RIV website was updated Friday December 7, 2007? How is BMW continuing to get away with this? The previous requirements, which were reasonable, outside of the $500.00 vig charged since the late spring of ‘07 for the recall letter, can’t even be found anymore. All BMW’s, with the exceptions currently noted, were admissable. I printed the earlier RIV version for referance. Comments?

I just noticed the list was changed. I have an 08 Toyota Tundra so I go to the list to check it out and low and behold they have added the 07 Tundra as inadmissible as well. They want vehicles purchased a year ago to be returned now? WTF?
The manufacturers seem to be just as confussed as us.
