So, the Liberals who are being backed now by Buzz Hargrove, are going to be our allies in this fight?
From Wikipedia: “Shortly after the election, the Ontario provincial branch of the NDP revoked Mr. Hargrove’s party membership, due to the fact that he had violated the party’s constitution by campaigning for other parties during an election campaign. Mr. Layton disagreed with this action, though Hargrove retaliated by severing ties with the NDP at the annual CAW convention.”
Yeah. The Libs are really gonna help.

Actually some of the members of this team have pointed out very well , in earlier posts, that it might be in Buzz’s best interest to support a better standard of living for all canadians. Maybe the auto folks, and I sympathize with them deeply, will be better off being able to buy cheaper cars. A good portion of the extra money these folks take from the Canadian consumer is going back to Japan and the US. Certainly we can find a compromise that would be fair and level the playing field for everyone. We just want fair pricing, but we want to remain Loyal canadians. I am sure, real people all across the counrty, and I talk with several of them everyday, would not be adverse to paying for the extra privilege of being a Canadian. But it must fair!

I have sent emails to Mr Harper, as well as my MP, Mr Rajoutte. Here is a copy of the last letter;
Mr Rajotte,
Again, Im sorry to bombard you with emails, but I am in a position to be at a large financial loss and need help! Im not sure if you watched Global News last night, but I was featured on the Trouble Shooter. I am one of thousands of Canadians that has purchased a vehicle in the US when it was admissable, and after it was bought, it was then made inadmissable. The radio station K Rock was also talking about my story on air this morning. This is gaining momentum and getting alot of media attention, and I wont stop telling my story until someone helps me.
Liberal MP Francis Scarpaleggia I understand has sent a letter based on a complaint from one of his constituents. I really hope you are willing to try to help me as well.
His letter is on the website http://www.carswithoutborders.com as well, the news story I did yesterday on Global is under press.
A woman from Transport Canada has gone on the record to say that the need for the CMVSS immobilizer was in response to public outcry. Ive never heard of this! She said it was to prevent possible youths from stealing vehicles and possibly being in high speed chases, and possibly hurting an innocent bystander. That is a lot of speculation in my opinion, of something could POSSIBLY happen. The truck I bought is a 2008 GMC….I currently own a 2007 GMC without the immobilizer, so I dont understand what the big difference is.
Can you please find the time to possibly hear me out, and look into this, for myself, Matt who is also featured in the Global story, and Im sure many many other people that I have not yet found.
Signed,
Sarah Oko

I am also in Edmonton and saw the report that you gave. I have an 08 Corvette bought in Texas but now in Edmonton since early October, that DOES have the Immobilizer and GM will still not allow the car. They say bumper mods. need to be done - so they were done to 2007 standards ( which is the same as 2008). Gm will not recognize that. I have an appointment with the local MP on Friday. Maybe he can shed light on this.

Just remember that it was the former Liberal government that imposed protectionist rules keeping 30 million Canadians hostage to overpriced local dealers. The same is true for the grocery oligopoly which must either change or face new and lots more competition. Or they’ll be next.

GROCERIES. When 375gm. Liberty Old Style Cottage Cheese in Montreal costs $4.49 versus (IDENTICAL) 454gm. Friendship brand cottage cheese in the U.S. costs $1.79-$1.99 —there is a problem with Candian prices. Grocery prices are TOO HIGH and they MUST come down!
