Update
We are very happy with all of the people responses. First here are some stats. 2000 hits on this web site from 8 countries in the world and in all 10 provinces. We have over 100 cases received from you Canadians that need help and having bought from most car manufacturers. We will try to report frequently on which car company, models.
Today, Robert Lamb was interviewed in his home by the CBC again and an interview was given to Readers Digest. Our story was in the Globe and Mail and we know the government has noticed that we are there. (Connon questions) The RIV is scrambling and we all need to keep the pressure. We will be improving our site and we will give daily updates on our progress. We also want to have a place to sign a petition to be presented to the politicians showing the support. On Saturday we were also on the Roy Green show which ran across the country. Things are going at the speed of light. And there is so much more to do. Click the below link to continue reading…
We are looking for volunteers - as you know we have 4 teams, the Web team, the Media team, the Awarenes Team, the Technical/Immobilizer team. But we would need more help. The immediate goal is to get those cars from the garage onto the road.
Reporting your cases; we are receiving them & reading them. Most have the same issue. Vehicle was admissible and then it became inadmissible. Many in Canada and many on the USA. We cannot give advise as to the next steps as it is up to each individual to decide on his/her course of action. But we will try to report what others are doing. It is a serious mess and the best way is to keep the pressure on your MP’s, the Minister of Transportation Mr. Cannon and the Prime Minister Mr. Harper. Tell your friends, contacts and everyone you know to write. Sign our petitions (upcoming) and report your cases.
We know that there is a big difference in prices Canada and the USA. It is not easy to adjust overnight, the large retailers have adjusted their prices because they were losing out to cross border shopping. It looks like the Canadian automobile dealers /manufacturers chose another way to stop the cross border shopping. Not by lowering and adjusting their prices but by instructing Transport Canada and the RIV to stop those cars ….We are experiencing a closing of the border, what are we going to do about that?????
